Dr Martens Flight Case
Dr. Martens, a globally recognised brand renowned for its iconic footwear, sought to create a bespoke promotional item to showcase its Jadon boots in a uniquely engaging manner. The challenge was to develop a luxury custom flight case that not only reflected the brand’s rugged yet stylish persona but also integrated modern technology for a captivating unboxing experience. Our team at Magellan took on this challenge, designing a flight case that would stand out at retail displays and special events.
Bespoke Custom Packaging
The flight case, constructed with a robust yet sleek design, features black metal corners and edges, ensuring durability while maintaining a sophisticated appearance. The panels, crafted from PU leather, provide a premium feel and an aesthetic consistent with Dr. Martens’ branding. One of the black panels prominently displays the Dr. Martens logo, reinforcing brand recognition. The interior is a striking contrast, lined with the brand’s signature PMS yellow, creating a vibrant backdrop for the Jadon boots. This design choice not only highlights the boots but also aligns perfectly with Dr. Martens’ bold and dynamic image.
Bespoke Video Box
To enhance the user experience, the lid of the flight case is equipped with a 10-inch screen, featuring a light sensor and play/pause button. This built-in video screen allows Dr. Martens to present multimedia content, such as promotional videos or product information, directly within the case. The screen adds an interactive element, transforming the simple act of opening the box into an immersive brand experience. The lower section of the case is specifically designed to hold a pair of Jadon boots up to size 12, ensuring a secure fit and presentation. This custom flight case not only serves as a protective container but also as a powerful marketing tool, embodying the brand’s essence and enhancing its storytelling capabilities.
